About Us

Holy Fire is a small church with a big, creative vision––inspired to make Brisbane a more luminous and beautiful world city from the inside out. We're strategically based in the heart of Brisbane (the Queen St. Mall) to give people genuine love, care and support, and to empower ordinary Aussies to do the same.
We do all of this through Jesus Christ. We are unashamedly faith-based and centered on God’s Word. We believe that God’s Word (the Bible) has power to transform people, families, communities and cities.
We are a non-denominational church and an inter-denominational ministry––which means we’re not sectarian or exclusive, and we work with a large range of Christian churches. We exist to serve the community and build up God’s Kingdom, rather than our own.
Holy Fire is uncomplicated, contemporary and informal––we’re a family. But at the same time we are serious about worshipping God. We hope that when you visit you feel at home, accepted and valued. Most of all, our desire is that God touches your life and that Jesus Christ becomes real to you.
How we Began?
The vision for Holy Fire Fellowship began in my heart while I was training for ministry at the Brownsville Revival in Pensacola, Florida. While studying, the Lord spoke to my heart to plant a church in Brisbane, Australia that would be a base for God’s Kingdom in Australia and the Asian/Pacific region. After I graduated from Brownsville Revival School of Ministry, I was sent out from my home church, Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, to fulfill this call with my soon to be precious wife, Anna.
The moment we started in Brisbane (June 1999) God began to orchestrate kindred hearts to join the vision. We were delighted to see people experience God’s transforming power. Many who came to our meetings received a fresh touch from God and felt the tangible presence of God. People shared how they were filled with the Holy Spirit and God amazed us with his works. Those early days were also marked by deep repentance and fervent prayer.
Since that time we have continued to pastor this precious church and ministry. This year we will be celebrating 12 years of ministry in Australia. In those years, there are a number of new ministries that have been birthed and we take great joy in every new expression of God's Kingdom. Our goal is to be a loving community that trusts in God’s grace and gives Australians hope and freedom.
