04-01-10: We are excited to announce that now our Holy Fire Headquarters is in the Brisbane CBD. And not just any place in the CBD, but in the centre on 180 Queen St., Suite 316 (across from the Brisbane Info Centre). God has planted us in the best place possible for our vision. Every time I walk through the city I see amazing opportunities as multitudes of people ebb and flow in and out of the city from all different nations. 

Last week and this week we have been gradually moving in. And alot of you have been helping. Chris Mills helped us to get in the bookcases and desk. Gideon helped me build the bookcases and desk. Daniel Mak collected 30 or so boxes for us to move. Then last night Daniel and Kelvin helped us move the first lot of stuff in the pouring rain. Today, Scott and Ben helped us plan for the IT aspect of the centre. And tonight Lami and Fa helped us carry about the 30 boxes Daniel acquired into the new place. There is still some more moving to be done, so if you are interested in helping please let me know. Basically we are moving in during the night time because it is an easier time to move into the city. Tuesday we are taking a break, but we will be up and running on Wednesday.

The purpose of the new space in the CBD is not merely an office. It's purpose is also a worship, prayer and study centre. There will be times of admin and pastoral care there for the strategic purpose of fulfilling the mission of the church. But also there will be times of worship, prayer and study. When things become fully operational you will be able to book in times for personal prayer, study and small group meetings. The level we are on - level 3 - is pretty quiet after business hours - so its perfect for quiet prayer, worship and study (that will not disturb the other tenants). We are planning to put in a good library and excellent Bible study resources on the computer for church members and students to utilize. So when you are preparing for a message your about to share or need to do an exegesis paper :-) it will be the perfect place to come. It's also the beginning of us fulfilling our God-given vision of establishing 24/7 worship & prayer in the CBD.

I would like to take this time now to thank all of you who have contributed to Holy Fire and helped make this vision a reality. Without your love and passion for this ministry, the city and Australia this could have never come to pass. I also want to thank a few specific people. First, my dear and lovely wife, Anna, who has continually supported the vision for the CBD and has always encouraged me not to give up. Second, I want to thank Phil Hackett for pioneering the ministry of the office which has now developed into this CBD Centre. Without his hard work this would have never happened. I also want to thank John, Chris and Cheryl, who for the last 10 years, have been the principal vision bearers for the CBD vision. Over the years we have shed many tears for the city and nation and have continually spurred one another on to keep to the vision the Lord gave us. Lastly, I want to thank Pastor Dennis, his wife Edna and my parents who have been loving us throughout our journey here in Australia. There is more of you that I would like to thank personally, but then the email might be too long :). 

So to sum it up the purpose of the 316 Centre is to be a place to seek the Father's heart, make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ and spread the Holy Spirit's fire. We will be starting out like a small mustard seed there - it will take some time - but I believe God will bring the increase. If you would like to sow into the vision, you can give into the main church account and shoot us an email to let us know the purpose of the giving. Please believe with us for $5000 to cover some of the basic costs of setting up the headquarters properly. If you would like to give please contact us by email.
